It all started with a pair of vintage pale pink studded peep-toes that werenot a size 8.5 or a 9.5. But, we thought, “Someone will love
these. We’ve got to get them.” In time, whether it was an amazingly
affordable designer dress or a vintage silk scarf, we started sharing
our finds (aka: our “collection”) with our clients to complement
something they’ve had in their wardrobe for years or something special
we found for them at their favorite boutique.

Months went by and we’ve now amassed a “collection” – a full rack of
clothing (never worn and vintage), a rack of shoes (heels, flats,
platforms and loafers) and a well-edited  array of scarves, belts
and bags.

The best part? The James + Dunne Collection has finally found a home at
aMuse Artisanal Finery’s brand-new location, which opened this week at
19 South Second Street – right next door to A Carolina Wedding
and  The City Club. Jess and Shannon’s collection looks right at
home with Jan’s handmade hats and beautiful vintage jewelry. Home Sweet
Home.

“It’s All in the Stars“

For the Fashion Fix’s first Style Story, we took a cue from our constant muse, Little Edie of Grey Gardens fame, taking sartorial direction from her reading material of choice, “It’s All in the Stars” by Zolar.
Instead of focusing on trends and this season’s celebrity style stars,
we found our inspiration in astrology – stars of a galactic nature.
