While Shannon and I were pulling looks together for That 70’s (FASHION) show (THIS Thursday May 12th at Scooter’s Roller Rink) – I had the chance to find out a little more on the success story behind our presenting sponsor’s brand: Simply Noelle.

Simply Noelle is a wholesale / fashion brand with sales that continue to double every year – and they are based right here in Wilmington. Read my interview with Simply Noelle designer Jody Dilley for the story behind their success – plus more new photos revealed (below) from our Gucci inspired photo shoot.

Don’t forget we have a date Thursday night.
Meet me at the roller rink – 6pm!
No skates required.

ff: Please share the Noelle story – what sparked the brand?

“Noelle started out as a gift company making a name for ourselves with the creation of the Kissing Krystal by former owner and now President Deb Groh. Our first introduction to fashion was with the Riverton Wrap, a versatile knit wrap with a large button that could be worn several different ways. The Riverton Wrap was a huge success and the starting point for our journey into the world of fashion. As the market began to change, so did Noelle and we eventually pulled out of the gift business and focused our efforts solely on fashion, creating the Simply Noelle brand. Since our first introduction to fashion, Noelle has been voted #1 in Apparel by Giftbeat Magazine for 4 years running, which we are very proud of.”

ff: As a wholesaler, how does Noelle work w/ retailers?

“As a wholesaler, Noelle provides our retailers with high quality women’s fashion at affordable prices along with providing unmatched support at the retail level. From conception to when it reaches the sales floor, Noelle continually has the retailer and consumer in mind by providing marketing tools, promotions, in-store signage, hangtags and merchandising tips. We know that if our retailers are successful, we will be too.”

ff: What kind of products / style embodies the Simply Noelle brand?

“With a workforce built primarily of women, we design, manufacture and wholesale high quality fashion and accessories that fit most woman no matter their size, shape or age. We take the guess work out of dressing by putting together coordinated looks that empower women, making them look & feel great from head to toe. Noelle’s continued success comes from each and every employee’s passion and dedication to never settling for ordinary. We will always give you our best so you will always look yours.”

Preparing something special with Legare of A Ribbon Runs Through It inside Scooter’s Roller Rink – isn’t it AMAZING?!

As Fashion Editor for Focus on the Coast and producing countless fashion shows & events, I guess you can say I’ve been “discovering” Wilmington models since 2006

We have incredibly gorgeous models lined up for That 70’s (FASHION) Show. Can’t wait to see how Beauty Bar Boutique transforms them into disco queens & Bowies! I will be sharing our models on the event page leading up to the show so please follow along. Figured I would start with a brand-new face. Introducing Kaye

“Discovered” at Wine, Women & Shoes. New to Jacksonville, NC.

Have you discovered Rummy Vintage yet? Beth has some amazing 70’s you will want to shop both before + AT the fashion show! Follow along at @rummyvintage on Instagram for a first look at her new arrivals. Here’s a few of my faves that would be PERFECT for May 12th!

FYI: Fashion Show attendees are not required to dress a la 70’s / Gucci inspired but wouldn’t it be more fun if you are?!

Charleston iPhone case designer @stonedbystone has created a custom case just for That 70’s (FASHION) Show’s “best dressed” winner. I found this vintage GUCCI button and she is adding it (bottom left).
Best of luck, darlings! Xo
