STREET CHIC – Gwathmey Siegel event @ CAM

spotlighting Wilmington’s fashionable set

steve wardLast Friday, Camer0n Art Museum hosted a high-glamour celebration in honor of world-renowned American architectural firm Gwathmey Siegel, whose projects include the latest Guggenheim renovation, the Yale School of Architecture and befittingly, the CAM in 2002. The sponsor dinner, catered by Tommy Mills, weighed in at $2,000 per couple while  the party tickets went for a more modest $75. Honored guest Charles Gwathmey took in the featured exhibit in their honor and feted his birthday surrounded by members from the Cameron family, friends from New York and Wilmington’s social set. It was rumoured that his best friend Ralph Lauren might make an appearance but to no avail. Since I was in NYC attending Brad Kunkle’s (my husband’s best friend) first major art opening at Arcadia Gallery, I asked Steve Ward, celebrity hair stylist and stylemaven, to play paparazzi for the night and scout out the evening’s most fabulously dressed – starting with Steve himself who wore a Lanvin striped jacket, a D&G shirt, a Marc Jacobs tie and Costume National pants and shoes.
