SG *FASHION FIX* – PHOTOS: Partying like it’s 1929 at 2nd Annual Great Gatsby!
Dressed to party like it’s 1929 at The 2nd Annual Great Gatsby Gala Although last Friday September 20th marked the 2nd Annual Gatsby Gala at The City Club (presented by Ben Swaim of DreamCarSource.com), there were certainly quite a few firsts. I made my debut as a platinum blonde with a 1920’s inspired bob wig from Coco Coquette in Austin. We had Charleston guests in the house (holla!). Our wide-eyed innocent young Daisy (photographer Lisa Brown’s beautiful daughter Isabele) saw her first burlesque show in the City Club’s Speakeasy. My dad put on a tuxedo for what most likely was the first time ever...

Happy Fashion Week! The mah-jor ladies of fashion enjoying NYFW photo: @lenaperminova    Since I was not able to make it to New York for Fashion Week this year, the next best thing is living the experience via some of my favorite fashion personalities’ Instagram feeds. Of course, it’s all about what’s next on the runway for Spring 2013 but I tend to find the most inspiration from what’s going on along the perimeter. Thought I’d share with you a few inspiring photos from the week in hopes of giving you your weekend dose of FASHION FIX!  ...

Lindsay Fleege, Charleston stylista & Cynthia Rowley Retail & Events Manager featured on Style Syllabus wearing vintage high-waisted shorts from my Style Girl Collection along with her signature collared blouse and Proud Mary necklaces It seems these days that every fashion blog is essentially a show-and-tell with said blogger photographed in their “Best Costume for the Day,” a description coined by beloved stylemaven Little Edie Beale. *FASHION FIX* – Style Profile + 2 transitional must-haves from summer to fall
Loose Threads boutique owner Laura Jasorka / Photo: Jess James   One of my dearest friends Melissa is coming to visit. We like to say we’re “godsisters” since our parents are best friends and also my godparents. I’ve known her for as long as I can remember. We used to lock ourselves away for hours staked out on her bunk bed with our bag full of barbies. Eventually, barbies gave way to boys, broken curfews, late-night dancing queens and bachelorette parties. She was the one who introduced me to Joel at fourteen that fated...

SG *FASHION FIX* – Back to School Cool: Style Profile with an 8-year-old
Sadie Dunne celebrating her 8th birthday at Satellite Wednesday night     I recently received a message from a reporter at The Star-News inquiring about what kids want to wear back to school. Admittedly a bit clueless on the subject of kids in general, I figured I’d do a bit of research while attending my BFF Shannon’s daughter Sadie’s birthday party Wednesday night at Satellite. I had a vintage earring set with change-out multi-colored backs I’ve been meaning to give her but wanted a little something extra, too. Shannon informed me Sadie had a “box” at Learning Express.   Arriving at the...
