1 “Beach Cover-Up,” 3 different ways
(Photo: Victor Giarrusso)
My favorite part about buying something new to wear is the challenge of figuring out all the different ways I can possibly style it. If that new “thing” is particularly versatile, I have been known to wear it several times in a row. Hey, it’s the “green” thing to do!
I recently added one of these special pieces with multiple personalities into my wardrobe and let’s just say we are hitting it off.
I like nothing better than wearing something white and flowy as a summertime staple so when I spotted this top (sold as a “beach cover-up”) on Hallelu’s Instagram, I knew I had to have it. Apparently, quite a few other folks felt the same because it sold out instantly. I got a call from Catherine (Hallelu’s super sweet owner Catherine) giving me a heads-up that they had received a new shipment. Within an hour, I saw the same flowy top on one of my favorite style bloggers Late Afternoon and asked if she loved it. She confirmed that she indeed loved it and that it was “definitely a good purchase.”
After a week of styling it a variety of different ways, I have to agree with Liz. From my itty bitty shorts that I never felt comfortable wearing (till now) to a swim at Gay Adair’s backyard “Bombay Club” to an everyday look with my favorite gray skinny jeans (from Oliver), this top definitely passes the test.
