Preparing to host the Red Carpet at
the annual Cucalorus Oscars Party
Over 300 film fans, Wilmywood crew and Cucalorus Film Festival socialites came out to the 5th annual Cucalorus Oscars Party at Screen Gems Studio.
Since my co-host Steven Ward was home recovering from a wicked cold, I kept the commentary going on the red carpet finding out the guests’ favorite pick for best actor (still sad to see Leo lose out again!), if they were Cucalorus Oscar Party virgins or veterans and who was wearing what or not wearing at all (Star-News writer Ben Steelman informed me he was going “commando!”)
With all the glamour, commotion and standard Cucalorus shenanigans, I did not have the chance to announce my “Best Dressed” for the night, who are lucky enough to receive a Cucalorus All-Access pass for this year’s festival (November 12-16).
Scroll below to see who won + other highlights from Wilmywood’s very own OSCARS.

MY PICK FOR “BEST DRESSED” FEMALE
Amelia Hutchins (left) in a gorgeous vintage beaded gown
from The Eclectic. Loved your crimped hair too, Amelia!
Photographed here with the beautiful Sullivan Anlyan
MY PICK FOR “BEST DRESSED” MALE
Shane Fernando in a custom-made suit
from Turkey inspired by 007
Cucalorus Director Dan Brawley with Cucalorus’ Ash McGuire
This “best dressed” runner-up was the bee’s knees in a 1930’s dress.
She sure knew how to make a grand entrance with two must-have accessories.
Natalie Lentz ordering a Midnight Moon cocktail from the manna mixologists.
Photo Booth Shenanigans flamingo style!
The beautiful Adrienne O’Docharty as an Oscars “cigar girl”
This guy with his denim shorts on the red carpet just cracked me up!
Check out the rest of his get-up below…
A mysterious beauty.
Interviewing my lovelies Juliana Williams and Jenni Antinori-Ennett
Carly Brooke Forman (with her husband) dressed to perfection in
a black gown accessorized with her wedding belt
This woman’s authentic 1930’s silk velvet dress with an attached rhinestone reptile lounging on her shoulder was one of my favorite dresses of the night. After many a wear and mending attempts, she sadly predicted the Oscars may be its last appearance on the red carpet. At least, she made a grand finale with her date’s tux/kilt combo.
L: Here we go! He told me he wanted to wear his boots that he wears while working for Habitat for Humanity (double like!) Just pair socks, denim jorts, a turtleneck, double breasted blazer and a feather Stetson and you’ve got the Cucalorus red carpet IT factor
R: Frank Thompson of Planet Logo with his wife in an amazing green vintage gown (also one of my favorite looks of the night)
Hillary Meinheit looking va va voom in her sexy red dress with cousin Hillary Hoggard
LAST LOOK: Glass slipper coming off calls
for a Dakota photobomb! My favorite.
